An unsettling development has emerged in the ongoing civil fraud trial against former President Donald Trump and his family: a potential "swatting" incident targeting the Long Island home of the presiding judge, Arthur F. Engoron.

On Thursday, January 11, 2024, just hours before closing arguments were set to begin, a bomb threat was reported at Judge Engoron's residence. Thankfully, no explosives were found after authorities responded to the scene. However, the incident has raised serious concerns about the safety of those involved in the high-profile case and the increasing prevalence of swatting tactics.
