NYC Shuts Down 500 Illegal Weed Shops in Coordinated Effort

New York State, in collaboration with New York City, is aggressively cracking down on illegal marijuana dispensaries. In a significant effort to regulate the burgeoning cannabis market, Governor Kathy Hochul and Mayor Eric Adams have announced the closure of hundreds of illicit weed shops across the city. This coordinated operation has led to the shuttering of at least 114 illegal stores by the state, with the city padlocking an additional 400.
