U.S. Navy Intercepts Houthi Missile and Drone Attacks in Gulf of Aden

On December 1, 2024, U.S. Navy destroyers USS Stockdale and USS O’Kane successfully intercepted a coordinated missile and drone attack launched by Yemen's Houthi rebels in the Gulf of Aden. The attack targeted two U.S. warships and three American merchant vessels navigating through one of the world's most vital maritime corridors.
