Israel Believes Iran Will Not Make a Deal with US Before Trump’s Deadline Expires

President Donald Trump threatened that if Tehran does not reopen the Strait of Hormuz by Tuesday evening, he will order strikes on Iranian power plants and other civilian infrastructure. Israeli officials believe that Iran will not comply with Trump’s demands, and Tel Aviv is pushing Washington to sign off on strikes on civilian infrastructure. 

An Israeli official told Haaretz that Tel Aviv is prepared with a bank of civilian targets to strike once Trump’s deadline expires without a deal. However, the Israeli government is unsure if the President will sign. . .
