A cloud of disbelief and discontent hangs over the Pentagon and the White House following revelations that Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin kept his recent cancer diagnosis a secret from President Joe Biden for over a month.

Austin, diagnosed with prostate cancer in early December, underwent successful surgery on December 22nd and completed a course of radiation therapy without informing the Commander-in-Chief or key White House officials until Tuesday. This news has sparked a wave of confusion and frustration within both administrations.

Anonymous Department of Defense (DoD) officials, quoted by various news outlets, expressed "disappointment" in Austin's decision. . .
