Supreme Court Blocks President Biden’s Student Loan Forgiveness Plan
The Supreme Court is blocking President Biden’s student loan forgiveness plan. The high court today ruled the president exceeded his authority with his plan to forgive more than 400-billion in federal student loan debt, a policy that could have eliminated some debt for more than 40-million Americans. In the 6-3 decision, the justices said the program needed approval by Congress. The program would have eliminated up to 20-thousand dollars of debt for eligible borrowers.
