Biden Administration Invests in Georgia's Intercity Rail Network

The Biden Administration has announced a major investment in Georgia's intercity rail network, awarding $1.5 million in grant funding to explore the feasibility of linking Atlanta with Savannah, Charlotte, North Carolina, and Chattanooga, Tennessee.

The funding comes from the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law, passed by Congress in 2021. This historic legislation provides $66 billion for passenger and freight rail infrastructure improvements nationwide.
