U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken has announced that Israel has accepted a U.S.-backed ceasefire proposal aimed at bringing an end to the ongoing war in Gaza. Speaking from Tel Aviv, Blinken emphasized that the success of the ceasefire now hinges on Hamas, urging the group to agree to the deal. The Secretary of State highlighted that the current negotiations might represent the last opportunity to halt the conflict, which has been raging since October of last year.
