Canadian Wildfire Smoke Impacts Midwest with Poor Air Quality

Smoke from Canadian wildfires is significantly affecting air quality in parts of the U.S. Midwest. As the smoke drifts southward, Topeka, Kansas, and Kansas City are currently experiencing the worst air quality in the nation. Health officials have issued air quality alerts for these areas, urging residents, particularly those with respiratory conditions, to limit outdoor activities.

An air quality alert has also been issued for parts of Iowa, remaining in effect until late tonight. Residents in affected areas are advised to stay indoors as much as possible and use. . .
