DePaul University Mourns the Sudden Loss of Soccer Player Chase Stegall

DePaul University is grieving the unexpected passing of 20-year-old sophomore Chase Stegall, a midfielder on the men’s soccer team, who is found unresponsive in his dormitory at the Lincoln Park campus on the morning of June 2. Emergency responders declare him deceased at the scene. The cause of death is pending results from the Cook County Medical Examiner’s Office.

Chase Stegall, originally from Atlanta, Georgia, is the son of Canadian Football League Hall of Famer and former NFL player Milt Stegall. Chase joined DePaul in 2022. . .
