Evidence Piles Against Rep George Santos on Charges of Fraud and Misappropriation

Lawyers for New York Congressman George Santos will be going through a mountain of evidence against their client. Santos made his first federal court appearance today on Long Island since pleading not guilty to charges of wire fraud, money laundering and making false statements. The judge is giving the congressman's defense team the summer to review what prosecutors say is more than 80-thousand pages of evidence against Santos. Prosecutors allege Santos misused campaign funds and fraudulently received COVID-19 unemployment benefits. The Republican is due back in court September 7th. . .
