Federal Court Upholds Life Sentence for NYC Subway Gunman Frank James

A federal court has upheld the life sentence of Frank James, the man responsible for the mass shooting on a crowded New York City subway in April 2022. James, 64, who set off smoke grenades and opened fire on a subway train in Brooklyn, injuring multiple passengers, appealed the sentence, arguing that it was excessively harsh given his mental health issues. However, the court ruled that the sentence will remain in place, emphasizing the severity of the attack and the lasting trauma it caused.
