In a pivotal legal decision, a federal judge halts the enforcement of the Trump administration’s controversial policy that bars transgender individuals from serving openly in the U.S. military. U.S. District Court Judge Ana C. Reyes, appointed under the Biden administration, grants a preliminary injunction in Washington, D.C., after a group of transgender service members files a motion arguing the policy would cause them "immediate and irreparable harm."
