Plains, Georgia — Rosalynn Carter, the esteemed former First Lady, will be laid to rest next week at the age of 96, having succumbed to her battle with dementia. Mrs. Carter's passing on Sunday afternoon marks the end of a life dedicated to public service and advocacy.

The Carter Center, a non-profit organization founded by the Carters, has officially announced a series of ceremonies to commemorate and celebrate the life of Rosalynn Carter. These ceremonies are scheduled to begin on November 27th in Georgia, allowing the public an opportunity to pay their respects.
