Georgia State Senator Colton Moore Arrested, Released After House Chamber Incident

Georgia State Senator Colton Moore has been arrested following an altercation with House Door Keepers while attempting to enter the House chamber prior to Governor Brian Kemp’s State of the State Address. Moore, who was banned from the chamber last year after making disparaging comments about the late House Speaker David Ralston, defied the prohibition, leading to his removal and arrest by the Georgia State Patrol.

Witnesses report that Moore tried to push past security personnel who were enforcing the ban, resulting in a heated exchange before law enforcement intervened. The senator was taken into custody and briefly held. . .
