Hamas Agreed to Ceasefire Deal Allowing Israel to Maintain Control Over Egyptian Border, Buffer Zones

Drop Site News’ Jeremy Scahill reported that Hamas has agreed to an Egyptian and Qatari ceasefire proposal that includes significant concessions allowing Israel to continue to occupy large areas of Gaza. 

According to sources speaking with Scahill, Hamas agreed to allow Israel to retain control over the Philadelphi Corridor, or the Egypt-Gaza border. Under the proposal, Cairo and Tel Aviv will negotiate the withdrawal of Israeli forces at a later date.
