House Overwhelmingly Rejects Impeachment Effort Against President Trump

A House resolution to impeach President Donald Trump over recent military strikes in Iran was overwhelmingly defeated on Tuesday, as Democrats joined Republicans in voting down the effort.

The final tally was 344–79, with 128 Democrats siding with nearly all Republicans to oppose the resolution. The impeachment articles were introduced by Rep. Al Green (D-TX), who accused the president of bypassing Congress before authorizing airstrikes on three Iranian nuclear sites over the weekend.
