Israel Agrees to Pauses in Gaza Fighting for Polio Vaccination Distribution

Israel has agreed to implement several pauses in the ongoing conflict in Gaza to allow for the distribution of polio vaccinations to children, according to Israeli and United Nations officials. These humanitarian pauses will begin on September 1st and are structured into three phases, each lasting three days, across different zones in Gaza. Each pause will last for nine hours daily, providing a critical window for health workers to administer the vaccines.
