Israeli forces have damaged or destroyed most of Gaza’s burial grounds over the past 21 months. Tel Aviv was previously caught lying about a Hamas tunnel running under a cemetery.
Gaza’s Ministry of Religious Endowments reports:
The Israeli occupation has completely or partially destroyed nearly 40 out of 60 cemeteries across the Gaza Strip during its brutal war of extermination. This confirms that Israel is deliberately targeting cemeteries and desecrating them under flimsy and false pretexts. We call on international legal and human rights institutions, as well as the global community, to urgently open an international investigation. . .
