Israel Seeks US Commitment for $40 Billion in Military Aid Over 20 Years

Israel is seeking a two-decade pledge from the US to provide billions in annual military assistance. In 2028, a ten-year commitment to provide Israel with $3.8 billion in annual military aid will expire. 

According to Axios, US and Israeli officials confirmed that the negotiations to establish a new Memorandum of Understanding began two weeks ago. Over the past 30 years, the US has agreed to provide Israel with annual military assistance. Under past MOUs, Washington has guaranteed aid to Israel over 10-year periods. . .
