The head of the combat mental health unit for the IDF reported to the Jerusalem Post that the number of cases of soldiers seeking assistance is up from 270 per year to over 3,000. 

IDF Lt.-Col. Uzi Bechor said, "We do not deal with active soldiers. We deal with discharged or reservist soldiers who are now civilians. This is an unusual situation compared to the rest of the world." He explained most were seeking treatment for depression, PTSD, and physical. . .
