Midair Collision at Southern Arizona Airport Claims Two Lives

A tragic midair collision between two small aircraft at Marana Regional Airport has resulted in the deaths of two individuals. The incident occurred on Wednesday, February 19, 2025, at approximately 8:25 a.m. local time.

The aircraft involved were a Cessna 172S and a Lancair 360 MK II, each carrying two occupants. According to the Marana Police Department, the Cessna managed to land safely despite the collision, while the Lancair crashed near the runway and was engulfed in flames upon impact.
