An American man missing for months has been found alive in Syria, following the country’s dramatic political shakeup. Travis Timmerman, a 30-year-old from Missouri, is now free after reportedly being detained in a Syrian prison since May. Timmerman, who described his visit to Syria as a “pilgrimage,” was located amid the release of thousands of detainees tied to the recent collapse of President Bashar al-Assad’s regime.
