Most Americans Get News From Social Media, Online Shows

A Reuters Insights poll found that 54% of Americans use social media as a source for news, the highest number ever recorded. Increasingly, social media is now Americans' main destination to receive news. 

Major figures in the independent media were prominent in the social media feeds of Americans. In the weeks following Donald Trump’s second inauguration, 22% of respondents reported seeing Joe Rogan’s content.
