Netanyahu Apologizes to Qatari PM for Assassination Attempt in Doha During Trump-Mediated Call

President Donald Trump hosted a call between the leaders of two of America’s Middle East allies on Monday. During the call, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu apologized to Prime Minister Mohammed bin Abdulrahman for an Israeli attack on Hamas leadership in Qatar. 

A White House readout of the call says, “The President expressed his desire to put Israeli-Qatar relations on a positive track after years of mutual grievances and miscommunications.”

“Prime Minister Netanyahu expressed his deep regret that Israel's missile strike against Hamas targets in Qatar unintentionally killed a Qatari serviceman.” It adds, ”He further expressed regret. . .
