Netanyahu Orders ‘Powerful’ Strikes on Gaza, Violating Ceasefire

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu appears set to break the ceasefire with Gaza by ordering strikes on the Strip. At least two people were killed in Gaza City. 

A statement from the Prime Minister's Office on Tuesday said, “Following security consultations, Prime Minister Netanyahu has directed the military to immediately carry out forceful strikes in the Gaza Strip.”

The IDF claims the strikes are a response to Hamas violating the ceasefire by attacking Israeli troops in Rafah. There are reports of gunshots fired in Gaza, but it is unclear what happened.
