New Study Ranks U.S. States by Usage of 988 Suicide and Crisis Lifeline

A recent study published in the medical journal JAMA Network Open reveals notable differences in how U.S. states utilize the national suicide and crisis lifeline, known as 988.

According to the study, Alaska tops the list as the state with the highest usage of 988, followed closely by Vermont and New York. At the other end of the spectrum, DelawareAlabama, and Florida were among the states with the lowest levels. . .
