The North American Aerospace Defense Command (NORAD) confirms that on April 14, 2025, U.S. military forces detect and track Russian military aircraft operating within the Alaskan Air Defense Identification Zone (ADIZ), a buffer of international airspace extending 150 miles from U.S. territory where aircraft are required to have transponders on or identify themselves for national security purposes.
