A large group of pro-Palestinian protesters flooded Trump Tower in New York City on Thursday, demanding the release of detained activist Mahmoud Khalil. The demonstration, organized by Jewish Voice for Peace, saw at least 100 protesters occupy the building's dining area, chanting and holding signs in support of Khalil, a former Columbia University student who was arrested last weekend during another protest.
NYPD officers moved in swiftly, arresting multiple demonstrators after they refused to leave the premises. Authorities report that most of those detained are facing misdemeanor trespassing. . .
