A potential crisis was averted at St. Mary Magdalen Church in Abbeville, Louisiana, when alert churchgoers intervened as a teenager attempted to enter the building with a rifle during a First Communion service. The incident occurred on Saturday, with the church full of approximately 60 children preparing for their sacrament, and the service being broadcast live.
