In a closely contested decision, the Senate has confirmed Robert F. Kennedy Jr. as the new Secretary of Health and Human Services (HHS) under President Donald Trump. The 52-48 vote saw all Democrats and Senator Mitch McConnell opposing the nomination, primarily due to Kennedy's controversial views on vaccines. Despite this, Kennedy was sworn in at the Oval Office by Associate Justice Neil Gorsuch.
