The Russian army has acknowledged that Ukrainian forces have made substantial advances into Russian territory, marking the first time since World War II that a foreign army has successfully conducted a ground attack on Russian soil. Ukrainian troops have reportedly advanced as far as 30 kilometers into Russia’s Kursk region, a move that Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy describes as part of a broader strategy to destabilize and stretch Russian military resources.
