Sacramento Tagger Ordered to Pay $50K for Prolific Vandalism

Sacramento, CA - A prolific tagger in Sacramento, identified as Scott Smith, has been handed a hefty financial penalty for the extensive damages caused by his graffiti. The Sacramento County District Attorney's office reports that a judge has ordered Smith to pay over $50,000 in restitution, holding him accountable for the defacement of multiple buildings across the City of Sacramento.

Prosecutors detailed that Smith engaged in a pattern of vandalism, repeatedly defacing buildings with graffiti. One particular incident alone resulted in damages exceeding $36,000. In October, Smith entered a plea of no contest to two charges. . .
