Six Nations Agree to Join Trump’s Strait of Hormuz Coalition

Five European countries and Japan agreed to join President Donald Trump’s coalition aimed at reopening the Strait of Hormuz. While the joint statement expressed support for the operation, the countries did not commit any military assets. 

“We condemn in the strongest terms recent attacks by Iran on unarmed commercial vessels in the Gulf, attacks on civilian infrastructure including oil and gas installations, and the de facto closure of the Strait of Hormuz by Iranian forces,” a joint statement by the leaders of Britain, France, Germany, Italy, the Netherlands and. . .
