South Sudan is engaging in talks with Israel about accepting Palestinians forced from Gaza. Juba hopes that making a deal with Tel Aviv will help South Sudan improve its standing in Washington. 

While South Sudan has publicly denied reports it was talking with Israel about hosting Palestinians expelled from Gaza, The New York Times reports that Juda is privately considering the offer. The Times explains South Sudan would take in the Palestinians “to curry favor with President Trump. . .
