Michelle Murphy, a 58-year-old woman from the Dallas suburb of Bedford, has been sentenced to nine years in prison after pleading guilty to attempting to hire a hitman to kill her boyfriend’s other lover. This marks the first murder-for-hire case in the region involving cryptocurrency, as Murphy used Bitcoin to facilitate her criminal intent.
