A somber cloud hangs over the city as a young boy, residing at the Stratford Arms Hotel, a migrant shelter in Manhattan, was found dead on Monday evening. The 11-year-old, whose name has not been released, was discovered unresponsive in the lobby around 5 p.m. local time.
Authorities report that the boy was found with a shoelace around his neck. Emergency personnel were immediately called, and they rushed him to a nearby hospital. However, despite their efforts, the young boy was tragically pronounced dead.
