Trump Has the Leverage. Why Won’t He Use It?

President Donald Trump has one crucial tool he largely refuses to use: US military aid. 

The President could leverage military aid to our allies in exchange for those countries helping the US achieve its foreign policy goals. 

One clear example is Ukraine. Trump, wrongly, claims that it's the Ukraine War that is driving up the price of gasoline and diesel for Americans. The reality is that his war against Iran is primarily responsible for gas prices nearly doubling, though the destruction of refineries in Russia certainly adds upward pressure on prices. 

So, Trump is putting pressure. . .
