On Friday, it was reported that the Trump administration had decided to hit military targets inside Venezuela. The US will target the fictional Cartel de los Soles.
This war will be entirely unconstitutional. There is no Declaration of War or Authorization for Use of Military Force. Congress has not appropriated funding to fight a war against cartels, or even passed a resolution supporting military action. The Trump administration has not sought approval from the UN, and little Marco Rubio did not bother to show up at the UN Security Council with a vial of Venezuelan fentanyl.
