Former Fox News host Tucker Carlson has made a surprising allegation, claiming that members of the Murdoch family encouraged him to launch a presidential campaign against Donald Trump — after they had removed him from the network.
Speaking during a podcast interview released Tuesday, Carlson said that after his sudden ouster from Fox News in 2023, "people close to the Murdochs" approached him with a bold proposal: run for president in 2024 as a conservative alternative to Trump.
