I have much more hope for improvements in such matters with a Trump Presidency. He has after all suffered through illegal warrants with FISA spying, rigged court cases, and has gone up against the military-industrial complex and media complex empire and their incendiary and demonizing rhetoric against the American people who support his MAGA movement. So to me the choice is very clear, is it a lesser of two evils, it always has been and it always will be. There has never been a perfect President, nor a perfect Presidency. We must wage our battles carefully. We must defend the first and second amendments, and work our way through all of them. Trump is bringing in new supporters and Elon Musk wants to cut government waste, there’s even talk of him agreeing with Dr. Ron Paul. I’m more optimistic with a Donald Trump and JD Vance administration for liberty than a Kamala Harris and Tim Walz administration. The latter seems to be more of a marionette to the deep state that has pervaded every administration since JFK’s assassination. Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. joining with Trump also gives optimism for cutting out some of the corporate crony capitalism and infiltration into the bureaucracies and agencies. I agree with all of the points made in this opinion piece Judge, but I would disagree with abstinence or casting a vote for anyone other than Donald J. Trump. I also have judged him to be loyal, intolerant of disloyalty. I’d love to see him put Judge Napolitano on the SCOTUS or I think even better given the individuals you’ve been having podcasts with so regularly as the DNI to reign in the national security state to make the government start following the constitution and sound constitutional principles. I certainly hope in the very least that President Trump turns his good ear to your counsel regularly somehow. God bless you Judge and I’ll be eager to read and hear your thoughts on everything going forward. God Bless America!

I fully agree with Judge Napolitano—both major candidates show a concerning disregard for the Constitution, reflecting a troubling state of affairs. However, as a libertarian, I’m encouraged by Angela McArdle and the LP’s recent influence. Since the spring convention, Trump has hinted at freeing Ross Ulbricht and potentially placing a libertarian in his cabinet, signaling some openness to our views. Even Elon Musk and JD Vance have talked about ‘Ending the Fed,’ with JD mentioning a shift toward Ron Paul’s ideas. While skepticism about Trump’s follow-through is warranted, the growing attention to libertarian principles shows our perspectives are finally entering the mainstream conversation. This, at least, gives me hope.
