U.S. and China Agree to 90-Day Tariff Rollback in Major Trade War De-escalation

On May 12, 2025, the United States and China agree to a 90-day rollback of tariffs, marking a significant turning point in the ongoing trade conflict between the world’s two largest economies. The agreement, reached during high-level talks in Geneva, temporarily reduces U.S. tariffs on Chinese goods from 145% to 30%, and lowers Chinese tariffs on American imports from 125% to 10%.
