U.S. Navy Identifies Aviators Killed in Whidbey Island Jet Crash

The U.S. Navy has identified the two aviators who tragically lost their lives in last week's jet crash near Mount Rainier, Washington. Lieutenant Commander Lyndsay Evans and Lieutenant Serena Wileman, both 31 years old and originally from California, were killed when their EA-18G Growler jet went down during a training exercise. The Navy confirmed their deaths on Sunday.

The crash, which occurred last Tuesday, happened in a remote area east of Mount Rainier, where access is difficult due to rugged terrain and the fact that motorized vehicles. . .
