UAW Extends Strike to Include Two More Plants, Thousands of Workers Affected

In a significant development in the ongoing labor dispute, the United Auto Workers (UAW) union has expanded its work stoppage to encompass two additional auto facilities, affecting approximately 7,000 more workers. The strike now includes the Ford Chicago Assembly Plant and General Motors' Lansing Delta Township plant, bringing the total number of striking workers to approximately 25,000, constituting about 17 percent of UAW's membership.
