UC Berkeley Faces Federal Lawsuit Alleging Failure to Combat Antisemitism on Campus

The University of California-Berkeley is under legal scrutiny as the Brandeis Center for Human Rights Under Law filed a federal lawsuit on Tuesday, accusing the institution of inadequately addressing the rise of antisemitism on its campus. The lawsuit contends that court intervention is necessary to safeguard students and faculty members from ongoing antisemitic discrimination and harassment.

The legal action comes in response to what the suit describes as a surge in on-campus displays of hatred, harassment, and even physical violence against Jewish individuals since the October 7th attack by the Palestinian. . .
