What Is the Point of War Against Iran?

Since President Donald Trump and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu stated an aggressive and unprovoked war with Iran last week, Americans are still unsure of what the goal is. 

Trump claimed it was because Iran would not commit to a peaceful nuclear program. However, top Iranian officials have repeatedly stated that Tehran does not seek nuclear weapons.
