White House Officials Want Israel to Attack Iran to Boost Americans’ Support for War

Some officials in the White House believe they can overcome Americans’ opposition to a war with Iran if Israel attacks first. Any Israeli attack on Iran would likely lead to retaliation, and the White House can justify entering the war in defense of its ally.
