This move aims to diversify media representation by incorporating emerging platforms alongside established outlets.

The Trump administration wants to shake up the White House press pool.

White House spokesperson Karoline Leavitt says the White House, not the White House Correspondent's Association, will determine who gets access.

Leavitt says the new press access rules won't amount to a major change.
