Zelensky Signs Law Allowing Ukrainians Over 60 to Join Military in Limited Roles

Ukrainians aged 60 and above can now serve in non-combat roles. The elderly Ukrainians will need special approval and get medical clearance before enlisting. 

The law was passed by the Ukrainian legislature earlier this month and signed by President Volodymyr Zelensky on Tuesday. The legislation allowed for people over the age of 60 to serve in limited roles until martial law in Ukraine is lifted. 

The current authorization for martial law is set to expire next month. Zelensky has requested that the legislature extend. . .
