Red Sea Attacks Disrupt Ikea Supply Chain, Products Face Delays

Furniture giant Ikea is bracing for potential product shortages and delays due to the ongoing attacks on commercial vessels in the Red Sea by Houthi rebels. Inter Ikea Group, the company's parent organization, issued a statement expressing concern about the situation's impact on its global supply chain.

"The situation in the Suez Canal will result in delays and may cause availability constraints for certain Ikea products," the statement read. The Suez Canal, a key shipping route connecting Asia and Europe, relies heavily on the Red Sea. With increased security concerns following the Houthi attacks, shipping companies are rerouting. . .
